Wethersfield Library is hosting a program for individuals exploring career opportunities titled “Targeting Career Options: Using AARP WorkSearch and Other Online Tools” Tuesday March 29th at 1:00 p.m. at the Library, 515 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield. Are you looking to retool your career? Mary Hogan and Winifred Grimaldi will provide an overview of free online tools that will help assess suitability for various new careers. The workshop will focus on AARP WorkSearch which is an online skills assessment system for job seekers. It helps identify the types of jobs a job seeker may be best suited for based on work interests, personality characteristics, and existing work/life skills. The WorkSearch system also provides free online Essential Skills courses which can help to upgrade the skills needed to increase qualifications for the identified job matches.
